childs play

When children play….

Nath arrived yesterday! YOUPIE!

Tho and me picked him up from Paro airport. So good to see him!

Later he bought himself a Gho and looks and feels “at home”! Ilya wanted a second Gho…: I cannot wear each day the same Gho, can I?...he said

In the evening we went out to eat and as if we had ordered it especially for Nath, there was a music and dance performance there to welcome him,

Later on our way home we saw a traditional dance with masks in a private garden, people sitting around a fire at night looking at these magical dances…this is Bhutan!

Today the boys wanted to play…not again hiking (!) with their parents…but play! (the parents, Sofia and Nath went up to the monastery above Telecom tower, the 5 young monks there introduced themselves as the spiritual bodygards of the 5th king. Do you remember, I told you about these 5 young monks praying day and night for the wellbeing of the king)

I took the boys to YDF (Youth Development Fund) football field and there with a bunch of boys they really had a great time!

There is such magic when children play!

Playing by the river Saturday in Punakha, I felt this deep wisdom of child’s play: playing with the elements: water, earth, air, fire and climbing on trees, is healing for the earth, for the child, for all of us!

Ilya and Alexis were so absorbed in their “own” world, enjoying the creative, free moment of play…to give children the space, the time, just to play is GNH!

You look like your dad more than your Italian mum!
By the way, I once used to sit on that concrete bench where you were sitting at Wat Pho!
