Chacri monastery on a sunny afternoon

For you Ilya, Alexis and Sofia! For you all!

Today Saturday, Bas, Tho and me walked up to beloved Chari Monastery,

Chacri is a meditation center about 40 minutes by car, outside of Thimphu and about 1 hour walk up, up up.

Monks who studied in Tango buddhist University, usually then come here to Chacri for the 3 year, 3 months, 3 days meditation retreat. It is a very quiet and peaceful place, many solitary retreats are on their way in the many meditation huts around the main monastery and one can right away feel this intense and yet peaceful athmosphere.

We said we can understand that most of the monks want to continue with solitary meditation retreats, after their 3 year retreat..what a peaceful, but yet full athmosphere! what quietness!...and what a view...when they open their eyes:)

It is a wonderful spring day. It is warm, wonderful blue sky, all the trees are covered with shiny little buds in all soft shades of green, rhododendron’s are blooming…just lovely.

Walking this well known path up to Chari, I think of my children and grandchildren walking up with us last October…this was one of the happiest moments in my life! And I can touch this moment any time, anywhere…it is always in me...

Our little Sofia has been born under a special star and this walk up here with her and her family gave a feeling of "destiny" of "karma"

I just send some photos to share the beauty of the blue sky of Bhutan with you…I’ll write my reflections on destiny, karma…some another time...my first walk up to over 3000m...sunshine and all...and I am really "nicely" tired

You look like your dad more than your Italian mum!
By the way, I once used to sit on that concrete bench where you were sitting at Wat Pho!
